Welcome to The Ski Racing Sisterhood where Olympians Anna Goodman and Shona Rubens host and coach elite summer ski camps for girls.

For girls by girls.

Skiing fast is more fun with your friends!  The Ski Racing Sisterhood aims to provide a female empowered atmosphere where girls ages 13-16 take their slalom and giant slalom ski racing skills to the next level.  While at camp participants will lead an active and healthy lifestyle, make friends from all over the world and get stoked and inspired for next season.

Our camp is the perfect opportunity to get extra summer training before the school year starts up again.  We realize that many teams have set summer camps, but The Ski Racing Sisterhood camps are not only an amazing opportunity to get more time on snow and learn from the best, but also a camp that revolves around female empowerment, healthy living and a fun and active lifestyle.

CRUSHING AND CLAIMING

July 31, 2012 at 1:24 am

One of the Sisters “things” last camp was to “claim” your run.  In order to claim a run, you must OWN it and celebrate it at the end!  A ski movie that Shona’s brother was in called “claim” was the inspiration for this.  Every time you do something cool or radical, you raise up your arms and claim it!  Like a double fist pump!  The girls were doing lots of awesome things on the hill so why not CLAIM IT!

We got some sweet shots of the girls CLAIMING their runs!  I also tried to take some action shots, but I chose the foggiest day, so they are a little funky.

Check it out!

THANK YOU LULULEMON!

July 29, 2012 at 3:08 am

Thanks again to Lululemon for kitting the girls out with yoga mats and water bottles! We had an awesome yoga session and the girls were definitely well hydrated! Yeah! THANK YOU SO MUCH! It was super appreciated by all!  :)

THANK YOU TO MILESTONES

July 29, 2012 at 3:04 am

I can’t express enough thanks to Milestones restaurant and the people who helped Speed Sisters Racing get set up for an amazing dinner at their restaurant in Blackcomb/Whistler.  Not only did we get treated to delicious dinner (dessert and all!) but Shona and I got a night off cooking duty!!  This was a huge and massively appreciated treat for the Sisters. Thank you!

THANK YOU DESCENTE!

July 27, 2012 at 4:06 am

A massive thank you to DESCENTE for supplying Shona and I with awesome blue puffy jackets, and for giving each girl a sweet hat!  Check it out!

THANK YOU IGOTSWAGG

July 27, 2012 at 3:37 am

A huge shout out and THANK YOU to our amazing friend Marie-Pier Prefontaine, for supplying all the girls with IGOTSWAGG scarfs!

Not only are they warm, soft and colourful, but now you got swagg!

AND check out the FAST AND FEMALE VIDEO!

DAY EIGHT: FAST AND FEMALE!

July 23, 2012 at 1:22 am

Today was special because we rocked GS through some less-than-beautiful conditions, it was Rachel’s first TEENAGE Birthday (pics to come) AND we got to participate at a FAST AND FEMALE event!!

It was awesome.  Fast and Female was nice enough to set up an event while we were in town, so we are sending out a HUGE thank you to the F&F crew.  The girls got to listen to Shona and I (some more…haha!) and an Alpine Skiing legend Allison Forsyth talk about our experiences, our motivations, and give some words of advice.  The girls also got to hear more about Ski Cross from this year’s overall globe winner Marielle Thompson and Olympians Danielle Poleschuk and Georgia Simmerling!  There was tons of positive female energy in the room!

We did some dryland and a ZUMBA dancing session! fun fun fun!

Check out some of the pics!

The camp has flown by.  The skiing has been great and it’s been fun to see so many improvements, so much drive and determination, and to get to know these crazy fun hilarious and energetic girls a little better!

DROP THE BASE!
